Tell us a little about yourself
Got my start in life in Ada, Oklahoma; played college football at the University of Tulsa; been married to Judy, the love of my life for over 32 years; lived in Israel; earned Masters and Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; raised 3 kids that have served Christ around the world; pastored Meadows since 1990; love riding horses, motorcycles, 4-wheelers and camels.
When and where did you start your journey with Christ?
Met Christ in a life-transforming way at a beer bust in the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma as a senior in high school and following Him has been life’s greatest adventure.
What do you do at Meadows?
I have the greatest job in the world helping others discover Christ; teaching life lessons from the Bible weekly; being a coach and confidante to individuals and families and providing direction and strategy for our church to spread the message of salvation and eternal life in Christ across the street and around the world.
Other than the Bible, what other book has had the biggest impact on your life?
Hudson Taylor’s Spiritual Secret by Dr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor (a biography of a man who followed God’s call to share the good news of Christ with China)
What’s your favorite vacation spot?
Israel, exploring the land of the Bible where Jesus walked and lived.
What do you love most about Meadows?
What I love most about Meadows is the people . . . young and old, recent and established, common and unique, all united in their love for Christ and one another, devoted to making a difference in our neighborhoods, our schools, our businesses, our communities, our country and around the world.
What’s your biggest hope for Meadows?
My greatest hope for Meadows is that our finest days of devotion, service and impact for Christ are just around the corner and that our future includes YOU!
