Women’s Ministry

The Ladies Ministry at Meadows Baptist Church believes we were created to need each other, to grow together and make a difference for Christ in our church, our community and in our world. And it starts with YOU. You are valuable and precious in God’s sight, and our desire is that we have the opportunity to take you by the hand and laugh, cry, grow and live together as we journey on our own personal walk with our Savior. You are welcome here. You are wanted. You are loved.

Bible Studies

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

Starting Wednesday, September 20 we will start a new Bible Study based on Lysa TerKeurst’s Uninvited.

  • Wednesday mornings at 10:00am
  • Meets upstairs at Meadows in the youth room

In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences of rejection— from the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over to the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father. She leans in to honestly examine the roots of rejection, as well as rejection’s ability to poison relationships from the inside out, including our relationship with God.

led by Mary Irby

Hurting Moms….Mending Hearts

No one understands the pain of having a child who is making destructive decisions, disengaging from their family, and disrespecting the values they have been taught like another Hurting Mom. This 10 week study is designed to be a safe place where moms can come together to share with one another while they walk through God’s word and learn to trust in the ONE that can heal our children and guide them back on the path to Him. This group is limited to 10 participants.  Sign-up sheet and workbooks available for $20.00 in the Atrium.  For more information contact Wanda Caplinger at Wanda.Caplinger@audiocodes.com.

Scraps of Faith

Join us on the 3rd Saturday of every month between 2:00pm and Midnight at Meadows for our Scraps of Faith ministry. You will have opportunities to make cards, albums, and gifts for others in the church and community. This is a great way to learn new skills and techniques. It’s a chance to get caught up or start your own project. You may bring your own supplies, but we will also be sharing tools/supplies. Bring your own drinks and a snack to share.

For more information, contact Heather Tait or Cyndi Obregon.

Quilted Blessings

The women of Quilted Blessings sew quilts/table runners/shawls as a blessing of physical warmth and love. In the past we have gifted these blessings to new babies, seriously ill, brides-to-be and those in nursing homes. Each quilt is hand-tied with knots that represent prayers sent to heaven for the recipient. This is a great time of fellowship and service to God’s kingdom and quilting! Our desire is to grow closer together and build friendships while reaching out to others in hope of being a blessing to them. No experience necessary – just a desire to serve others.

Quilted Blessings meets in the Adult 1 classroom on the first Monday of the month at 10am (bring a lunch) and the third Saturday of the month at 1pm, except for December.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms…
If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ…
1 Peter 4:10-11 (NIV)
